Previously we discussed some of the challenges of remote work. Now let’s take a look at how AVerMedia solutions can help.
Miscommunication This is where the PW513 4K webcam really makes a difference. You might not be able to conference in 4K (yet), but no matter what resolution you use the video provided by the PW513’s 4K sensor and our video processing technology will be sharp enough for others to see your expressions in lifelike clarity. This is the closest you can get to an in-person feel with a consumer webcam, and it’s really important for smooth communication- when nonverbal cues and facial expressions are clear it’s far easier for everyone to understand what’s going on.
Our other webcams aren’t 4K but they still provide high-definition video, also boosted by our video processing technology to have lifelike accuracy.
For true-to-life audio- both input and output- there’s no better speakerphone for individuals and small groups than the AS311.
Isolation Video can go a long way toward easing remote workers’ loneliness. When people can see others clearly they can get a better understanding of their personalities and feel a greater sense of togetherness and camaraderie.
Interruptions The AS311 speakerphone was created specifically to address this challenge. It uses artificial intelligence to effectively identify disruptive noises, separate them from the speakers’ voices, and suppress them, leading to fewer interruptions and more efficient meetings. Our PW513 and PW315 webcams are also equipped with AI noise reduction, available through the CamEngine app.
Technical Issues Previously, to get truly excellent video and audio you needed to hire an installer who could integrate (expensive) enterprise-grade equipment into your setup. Needless to say this is beyond the budget of most individuals (and not a few workplaces), and impractical for anyone working from home.
This is where we come in.
With our webcams and speakerphone, you get enterprise-grade quality, but with an easy setup, easy operation, and a far more affordable price point. Our webcams only require a USB plug and play connection to get started- no control equipment necessary- and are compact enough to fit unobtrusively in a home workspace.
Using Video Conferencing Wisely
Video conferencing may be essential, but it isn’t a cure-all for remote work challenges and shouldn’t be overused. Rather than hold constant video calls to monitor work progress managers can also arrange social activities or mentoring. Some projects probably don’t require a video call and can be handled with project management software or other tools. Too much conferencing can be stressful, so employers need to keep an eye on how much time employees spend in meetings.
Coming up soon: how we’ve been using new technologies to make video calls easier than ever.
